Working with Chris was a real privilege. We had inherited a grandparent’s ring, and we wanted to use the stones and metal in new designs for both Tatiana’s engagement ring and James’s wedding band - but had been finding it hard to envisage how the shape and size of the stones would look in new settings. Chris took great care in getting to know us and our tastes before presenting us with a brilliant range of creative options, as well as various 3D printed rings of our favourites to try on for style and size. The design we chose for Tatiana’s ring was something we’d never have imagined ourselves but absolutely fell in love with. The design was also done with a wedding band in mind, which was plain gold but sits perfectly against the mount of the engagement ring to show off the design. For James’s ring he created a beautiful textured design to reflect James’s love of nature, finding inventive ways to integrate the white gold from the original ring and to set a few small diamonds in. With the leftover stones, Chris also worked with James to create beautifully delicate sapphire earrings for him to surprise Tatiana with on the wedding day. We loved working with Chris, who was so warm and welcoming whenever we met him in his Studio, incredibly patient and collaborative as we deliberated over final designs, and who has created unique rings that bring us so much joy to wear.

I would highly recommend Christopher to anyone who is looking to buy jewellery. I got engaged this year and on the recommendation of a friend gave Christopher a call. He did not disappoint! Initially I was able to discuss ring options with him and he established a budget that he never tried to push. He produced a lovely personalised book for me to give to my partner when I proposed which explained all his services and how he would work with her to design her dream engagement ring. Along with the book was a ring to propose with. We then met in his beautiful workshop and my fiancé went through numerous design ideas with Christopher. He did not rush her and gave lots of advice on different styles. In the end she chose something that neither of us every would have thought she would have done. A replica of this was then sent through the post to double check before the real ring was made. The end result was fantastic and she is now a very happy fiancé (despite being engaged to me!) We will definitely be returning to buy our wedding bands from Christopher.

I met Chris years ago where I worked. Then a friend showed her ring to friends on Facebook that Chris had made. I knew straight away that Chris was the one that could help me. My mother had died and I inherited a few pieces of jewellery. So I contacted Chris and he went to work. He redesigned my grandmother and mothers ring, as the clasps were broken and the shank was weak. My ring is beautiful and when I look at it I can see my mum and my nanny. Its wonderful. Chris cleaned and repaired my other pieces. I can now wear them with pride as they are gleaming and to me they look like they are new. A wonderful person with a wonderful eye for beauty in jewellery

I wanted a substantial ring robust enough for everyday wear and after much consideration decided on a yellow sapphire. Chris sourced several lovely gems for me to look at and with his expert guidance I chose the one I wanted as the central stone for my ring. We discussed the type of setting that would display the stone best and based on my requirements for lots of sparkle Chris designed a stunning ring for me. We contacted Chris to commission an emerald ring for our Silver Wedding. We knew very little about emeralds before we embarked on this process, just that we wanted a beautiful green stone. Chris was fastidious in his search for the right quality gemstone, explaining that many coloured gemstones vary hugely in quality and colour. He seemed to sense just what was right for us and once the correct emerald was sourced, then the magic really began to happen! He really is an expert in his field and is superb at guiding your choice without making you feel pushed in one particular direction or another. Chris made the whole design process as special as the end result - just what we wanted for such a special anniversary.
